What makes a good Bond Clean Checklist?

There are 2 key parts to a good Checklist.

1 – Your checklist includes everything …

A good checklist includes every area that an agent or property manager expects you to clean.

Morover, the more detailed your checklist is, the better. For example, instead of just saying bathroom, the checklist includes everything in the bathroom that needs to be cleaned.

This is very important to make sure you do not miss anything.

When I started out in cleaning, I didn’t use a checklist. As a result, it was common for me to miss areas. And, after being asked back by the agent a few times, I decided to create my own checklist.

After a few updates, I had a checklist that included everything an agent requires. In addition, rechecking the list became a habit which meant that I completed everything. This is a good idea for you too.

2 – Your checklist guides you through the clean …

With so much to do, getting started can be difficult. For eample, procrastination is common when you have a big job on your hands. Therefore, having a good checklist that provides direction is fantastic.

Similarly, after you finish an area that was hard, the last thing you want to do is stand there feeling exhausted. So, this is where a good checklist can help by suggesting your next step.

Your checklist becomes your bond clean plan …

All you need to do is grab a pen, start at item 1 and check off each area as you go.

Knowing where to start and what to do next was a huge help for me. It allowed me to create a process, or flow, for each clean. It saved me time and, seeing a lot of items already crossed off, it gave me the motivation to keep going.
